Description:
(1947-2000) Canadian-born magician/showman, credited with single-handedly reviving public interest in magic by updating it and combining it with music, comedy, and flashy costumes to make it attractive to a whole new generation. Starred in musical “The Magic Show” and his “Doug Henning’s World of Magic” shows, hosted popular television magic specials. He retired in the mid-1980s, selling some of his most famous illusions to David Copperfield. Diagnosed with liver cancer 1999, died February 2000. 10 x 8 ISP, b&w photo of Henning with a tiger, inscribed with sentiment. With mid-80’s unsigned 2pp printed Henning Fan Club flyer.
