Authored Poems of "Two Friends with Piatt" 1860, "The Rise of Silas Lapham" 1885, etc. Signature “W. D. Howells” on 2 ¾ x 3 ½ slip + unsigned 4 1/4 x 2 1/2 carte-de-visite seated bust photograph (by Warren's Portraits of Boston) for possible framing
