(Born Thomas James Quigley, (1860–1913) Mount Vernon, New York actor, debut in 1880 and for the next several years appeared in dramas and a few comedies before he won popularity as star of such musicals as “The Isle of Champagne” (1894) and “Tabasco” (1895). His greatest success came in the imported English musical “A Chinese Honeymoon” (1902). He remained a headliner in vaudeville thereafter. SP, Elmer Chickering of Boston studio 6 ½ x 4 ¼ sepia cabinet photograph in costume as Dennis O’Grady in “Tabasco”, adds name of play under signature. Pencil dated 1894 on verso.
