(1769-1828) Mayor of New York City 1803-07, 1810, 1811, 1813, 1814-15; 1812 Peace Party presidential candidate (lost to Madison). New York Governor 1817-21, 1825-28, built Erie Canal. Partly printed 4 1/2 x 7 DS as New York City Mayor, August 1813, completed in another hand, pay order #553 to the City Treasurer, ordering payment of $99 to E. Jennings (endorsed "Ephraim Ginnings" on verso) for a well and pump for Broome Street. Signed also by the City Clerk and the Comptroller.

Condition: Very good, partial cancel slash at top right with no paper loss
