(1912-2007, b. Claudia Alta Taylor) M. Lyndon B. Johnson 1934-73. First Lady 1963-69, advocate for beautification of the nation's cities and highways and conservation of natural resources. After leaving the White House and her husband's death in 1973, she became an entrepreneur, creating the $150 million LBJ Holdings Company. Recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honors. ISP, lovely 9 1/4 x 7 1/2 color 1/2-length portrait of Mrs. Johnson on the White House grounds, magnolia tree in the background, signed and inscribed "For Jim Rogers with my appreciation and/warm wishes" on the 14 x 11 white mount board. James R. "Jim" Rogers, longtime career White House administrative officer, served from the Kennedy through the Reagan administrations.
